Black Sweet

Sisri Wahyuni is my friend when I was in Junior High School. Everyone calls her ‘Ayank’. She is 20 years old now. She is the third child in her family. She is beautiful. She has black long hair, has a pointed nose, tall and slim. It is easy to know her, because she has black skin. Cause that, some people also call her ‘Black Sweet’.

            She is funny and like joking. Her friends are happy because of her jokes. Her jokes can decrease her friends’ sadness. The students sometimes feel bored in the class if she did not come to class. The class will be so silent without her jokes in class.

            She likes music very much, especially singing. She has a nice voice and good in singing. She always sings everywhere and anytime she wants. If you meet her, you will see who she is singing. Besides singing, she also likes dancing and drama.

She is smart, diligent, and economical person. She is active in class and she always asks the teacher when she cannot get the lesson clearly. She always reviews her lesson at home and sometimes she learn the lesson will study in the next meeting. When she was at Senior High School, she was registered in Science Nature class. She likes studying Biology, exactly. And now she continued her education in “AKPER” Bengkulu, Indonesia.

            She is a kind and sociable person. She like helping anyone who need her help. She is also a good friend. In class, she often help her friends who still did not understand about the lesson was studying. She explains it until her friends understand about the lesson. Not only in class she giving helps, but also at outside she always likes helping anyone without hope thanks from them. She will feel happy if see other people happy.

            Sisri Wahyuni (Ayank/Black Sweet) is the best friend that will never forget by her friends. She is beautiful, funny, kind and smart. I hope she will get wonderful life in the future.

Myself

            My name is Adri Syahputra. Everyone calls me Adri. I live in Pariaman. I was born on March 4^th 1990. I have four brothers and five sisters. I am the fourth child in my family. I have black skin, pointed nose, brown eyes, tall and thin.

            I like music very much. I like to play music and sing song. I always listen music when I felt bored and sometimes I sang a song to entertain myself. Besides that, I also like taking photos. I always take pictures that I think is interesting such as my friends, my family, and a nice view pictures.

            I study in Padang State University. My majoring is English Literature. When I was at Elementary until Junior High School, I was a diligent and smart student. I always got good marks and I also one of good students in the class. At Senior High School, everything has changed. I became a bad and a lazy student. It made myself become bad. I tried to improve it, but I still cannot. I will keep try to change that.

            I am a kind person. I like to help someone who needs my as long as I can help them. I am friendly, easy going and loyal person but I am a talk less person. The things that I really hate are; I hate someone who cannot keep a promise and tell lies to me. Besides that, I also have bad habits such as; I am a lazy person and often pending something that I will do. Therefore, I often unfinished my homework on time. I have tried to change it, but I still cannot. I hope I can to change that bad habit slowly.

            In conclusion, I am a person that likes music very much, taking photos, a diligent, kind and smart, but I am a talk less person. I hate person who is a liar. I hope I can to change my bad habit slowly and get good life in the future on my life.

Listening Pop Music or Rock Music

            Music is one of the important thing in this life. The world will be so silent without music. There are too many kinds of music such as Pop, Rock, Jazz, Dangdut, Reagee, Country and Keroncong. Most of people usually interested to listen kinds of pop and rock music. So, I would like to compare two these kinds of music.

            I am going to discuss about pop music first. Pop music is a genre of music that is often regarded as the softer alternative to rock. Pop music usually play the songs that are soft with mellow music and song that is easy listening. Pop music lyrics almost always talk about love which means it is something almost can relate to all people in usual. It constitutes the type of songs that are relatively short and aimed at commercial recording.

            Rock music is a genre of music that hard and full of melody instruments. The typical sound of rock music often has three chords are formed by a rhythm section of bass guitars which are the strong, the insistent back beat and a catchy melody. A rock band member usually has good skill in playing and creating new melodies instrument music.

            Then, the similarities and different from pop and rock music. The similarities are both of them bring the listener into the song and make the listener felt what the song purpose about. The different is about the instrument and beat from that genre’s. Pop music has a soft music and mellow song, but rock music have a hard music and full of melody instruments.

            In conclusion, the pop and rock music is just different with instrument and the beat from the song. Pop music has a slow song and soft music, rock music has hard song and full with melodies. So, what do you prefer to listen? pop music or rock music?

How to Be a Good Friend

            In this life, we cannot life without other people. As we know, human is a sociable person that needs each others. In a friendship, we had to know how to be a good friend. Being a good friend is not easy if we never know how to be a good friend. I have some steps or tip how to be a good friend such as be honest, be loyal, supportive, share and give advices to your friends.

            The first is being honest. It is an important thing in a friendship. A dishonest person has no chance of having true friends. Keep your promises; do what you say you are going to do, and the most important thing is never lie. It is a hurt thing if you lie to your friend and your friend will never believe what you are saying about for the second. It too hard to your friend to believe you after you lay them. So, do not try to lie to your friend.

            The second thing is being loyal. To be a good friend, we should be a loyal person. Do not leave your friend if your friend gets serious trouble. Keep stay inside your friend whenever he/she needs your help.

            The third is being supportive. If your friend failed to take in something that he/she really wants and surrender to try it again, so you should have to give some supports to them. Do not laugh on his/her failed but you should give support to him/her. Make sure he/she is able to gets what they want about. So, just keep your support to your friend.

            The fourth is sharing each others. In a friendship, it is a usual thing to sharing each other with your friend. You can share each others whatever things that you want to share about. If you have a selfless friend, that always expects something back; try to accommodate. That is if one does not make it too obvious, like begging or envying. This does not mean giving large or expensive presents. It is can just mean being there when you are needed. If you already give a lot of your time, then that gift is probably in appreciation for that, so do not feel obligated to make an equal gift in that kind of case.

            The last one is giving advices, add perspective. Do not judge your friend, but do advise to stay out of dangerous situations where one may harm oneself or others. Tell him/her how you perceive his/her situation is, and what you might do in the same circumstances. Don not be offended by one listening to your advice and then decide to ignore it. Your friend must make his or her own decisions.

Pariaman

          Pariaman City is the one of city in West Sumatra . It is the new town was established in 2002. Pariaman is the one of city that has an attractive tourism sector. One of the most interesting is the Gandoriah beach. Gandoriah word comes from Minang language. Gando means festive and Riah means decorations. So Gandoriah means a pleasant natural decoration. This beach is located near downtown of Pariaman, so that everyday is always full of visitors.

          Gandoriah is clean beaches that  can make visitors feel at home for long in this beach. The waves and gusts of wind add a good atmosphere. The most interesting of these is range of islands that that stands in front of this beach, which are Angso Duo island, Tangah island, and Pandan island.

           One thing that should not be overlooked for the tourists who visit is see  the charm Pariaman's sunset on the Gandoriah Beach. So, if we want to tour to Gandoriah, one days will not be enough to have fun on this beach.

            Pariaman city is also famous for typical food. One of  most famous food is the "Sala Lauak". Foods made from rice flour and fish is very popular with visitors. Visitors often make the "Sala Lauak" as souvenirs to their children at home.

            Pariaman city is also famous for its cultural diversity. The most famous is the "Tabuik Party" Pariaman often called as the City Of Tabuik. Tabuik is an event to mark the Islamic new year every year at 10 Muharam is always celebrated by the people from pariaman.

"Panjat Pinang"

            In Independence Day of Indonesia, people usually celebrates some events or attactions. There are many kinds of events to celebrated that day. The most popular event is panjat pinang. Most of people in Indonesia celebrated that Independent Day with panjat pinang.

            Panjat pinang is an event that celebreted by Indonesian people to respect the patriot of Indonesia. In this game, people will feel how hard the patriot of Indonesia to get free from the colony of forign such as Japan and Netherland.

            For Panjat pinang, people used to used Pinang’s tree and clean it at once in order to make it easy and safe to climb. After that, the tree will be paint to decorate it. On top of it will make a circle from bamboo and hang on the presents. then, on the top embed a flag of Indonesia. The presents are a bicycle, clothes, a ball, shoes, and some interesting presents other.
            Panjat pinang is an interesting event. It is a kind of game that consist of many groups. That group consists of 5 or 6 members. The members must help each other. They must be cohesive, because panjat pinang's cannot do alone.

             Panjat pinang's game will over someone of the group able to climb until the top, and then flutter the flag. The winner will get all of presents and decide it to their members in their group.
            Panjat pinang is a event that all people really wanted because it has many interesting presents. Besides, it can also makes all of people who watch it become happy because of that game.

Peterpan

            Peterpan is one of phenomenal bands in Indonesia. Peterpan is a pop-rock band come from Bandung. Peterpan was created by Andhika. The name of Peterpan was inspirited from a cartoon movie. That movie was “Peterpan”. The word ‘peter’ is a name of the boy from Peterpan’s movie. It mean a boy that wanted to fly. Andhika put ”Peterpan” to his band name because he hope that name can make the band fly become a the most famous band in Indonesia.

            The personels of Peterpan are; Ariel (Vocal), Uki (Rhytem Guitar), Indra (Bass), Lukman (Lead Guitar), Reza (Drum), and Andhika (Keyboard). The fans of Peterpan are called as “Sahabat Peterpan”

             Peterpan has become famous band because the song “Mimpi yang Sempurna”. Now, Peterpan have 5 albums. There are are Taman Langit (2003), Bintang Di Surga (2004), Alexandria (2005), Hari yang Cerah... (2007) and Sebuah Nama, Sebuah Cerita (2009).

            On November 2006, two personnel of Peterpan, they are Andhika and Indra was kicked out from the band. It is because they have different principle of their reactivities each others. Andhika have felt the different since in the first album.  Now, Andhika and Indra has have a new band that name is The Titans. Although only 4 personnel stay in Peterpan, but they will keep their spirit to finish their next albums.

            Peterpan get problems not only at 2006 but also at 2009, the vocalist “Ariel” arrested because immoral cases with some Indonesian’s actress. Ariel detained for 3.5 years in the jail cause of that cases. Even though Ariel will stay for 3.5 years in the jail, but Sahabat Peterpan will keep their loyalty to Peterpan and they will be waiting for Ariel until he freed and come back to the band and continue his own songs that have been delayed for long time.
